Evacuations ordered after dozens of train cars derailed near New Mexico state line, some carrying propane
Thirty-five rail cars of a train derailed in New Mexico Friday afternoon, prompting evacuations and forcing a 50-mile stretch of Interstate 40 to close.
Sabotage. We are at war and most people don’t know it. Millions of illegals came to the US to destroy our infrastructure. Same thing we did to Nazi Germany with the OSS and the Underground.
Have you guys seen as much mass transit and infrastructural disasters then when he took his position? It obviously happened but I feel it is either happening with greater frequency or it is much more noticeable now.
Not sure about your question, but I see a trend for many years (more than the Bidan era), and it is a slow motion attack on the western infrastructures. It is coming from the so-called globalists, and it has been attacking money, food/farming, power, and transportation. It is not only physical, like the accident here, but it is also through legislation and treaties.
We need a train fag here, but I assume that the rails are not getting proper maintenance. Maybe they quit working on them during the covid, and they can't catch up.
Railroader here, you are correct about maintenance, we're spread pretty thin. 1000s either fired or furloughed in the last year, just at BNSF alone.
Warren Buffett is squeezing as much profits out of the company as he can. Or worse.
I have seen railroad ties that go up and down 6 inches or more when every wheel passes over them, due to the gravel being washed out. These trains were going very slow so nothing happened, and they were on lines going to small farming towns that are not used much......
Maybe both then. I do know are roads are not getting proper maintenance, rails are probably the same.
No
I have a family member who does rail maintenance for a living. He works an insane amount of overtime because the company won't hire new workers. The stories I hear sound very unsafe for him and for all of the railroad employees.
What railroad does he work for? I work for BNSF and they're slashing OT like crazy
Yes, track maintenance is terrible. Who pays for track maintenance is a bit convoluted. Plus it eats into thin profits. My only answer at the moment is a one time subsidy to fix the tracks and a track closure of unsafe sections post subsidy. Info I read a while back.
Buttigeig will claim it was caused by 'climate change'.
This is by design… so he was successful.
Secretary BootyJuice will surely handle this.
