Clarence Thomas Asks If Jack Smith Is Appointment Illegal | Headline USA
(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Does Special Counsel Jack Smith lack the authority to bring criminal charges against former President Donald Trump? This pivotal question surfaced during a Supreme Court hearing on Thursday, initiated by Justice Clarence Thoma...
Thomas’s inquiries likely stemmed from the 42-page amicus brief filed by Meese and Mukasey, which suggested that Smith—who was appointed by Democratic Attorney General Merrick Garland—lacked the requisite authority to prosecute Trump, having never received Senate confirmation.
Fraud vitiates EVERYTHING!!!
First you have to get the proper people to acknowledge the fraud. Then you have to get them to do something about it. Thus far I haven't seen either occur.
Exactly, this is the question they did not wish to hear.
He answers to the deep state. We all know it.
Exactly, they control him .
Judge Cannon has been making him her bitch. Lets see what happens.
Amen, but he is used to it. Check his past and you will see he is everyones B####.
If a jury is impaneled and Smith is tossed, then it is over due to double jeopardy. If Smith goes through the Senate process, it could get very ugly. Two different paths.
Amen, but we can already see no trial happening until after the election now.
Well right now Democrats control the senate. They would probably just confirm him as a matter of procedure.
If they send him up for confirmation now, that would be admitting that he was not eligible to serve and all prior actions would be illegal. Grand Jury indictments, subpoenas, witness interviews, search warrants, etc. would be thrown out.
Seems to me to be all fruit of a poisonous tree if he is not legal.
Im not an attorney but that passes the ‘makes sense’ test! 👍
But it hasn’t happened yet. Not really in control? The rule would likely need to be changed to allow for only a majority vote. Is that the objective?
Finally.
Same words came to me as I read it.
