Do you know from personal experience? From my experience the majority of the laity was solidly opposed, and that's been written about in many articles from both inside and outside of the church. Of course that's different in Hollywood and other select locations.

But overall, I view it pretty much the same as saying "you get who you vote for" without acknowledging the intentional fraud corrupting the results. Oh well, no sense debating it anymore: this castle has now fallen.
