American Corporations are not legally obligated to care about the Health and interests of the U.S Consumer. Their own employees. Minor shareholders. Or even sustainable Business Models. Their sole obligation is to the Majority Shareholders. Typically since about the late 80s onward that’s been reflected in a drive for higher and higher profits in the short term. Irregardless of long term risks.

And in China They can pay Chinese workers pennies when compared to American workers with the same qualifications. They don’t need to offer benefits. And China has precious few environmental regulations. And what ones exist can usually be bypassed with Bribes to local officials.

Though we’ve seen Majority Shareholders like BlackRock start leveraging their shares to force companies to undertake social Engineering irrespective of hits to Profits the past few years.

And the Government Leaders didn’t care because they get offered kickbacks and Bribes from the Corporations and Chinese Government. Now growing Chinese influence they turned a blind eye to is threatening their other interests. Hence they suddenly care and are beating the war drums for a Kinetic Conflict. Because their own corruption lost them the Economic War

Don’t make the mistake of assuming this somehow makes China an ally or Friend. It’s just a case of Corruption taken to its logical conclusion.
