This was a very interesting article...the book by Tom O'Neill sounds very fascinating...it is my understanding that the CIA/government was also responsible for introducing the hippie movement to destabilize America...and the connection to the children of military personnel to Laurel Canyon and the music industry is very interesting. The music industry and Hollywood have been very instrumental in shaping America into what it is today...a hedonistic, Godless society for the most part.
Some of the most interesting articles I have read on this is the extensive writing of David Gowan with his 22 part series "The Strange but Mostly True Story of Laurel Canyon and the Birth of the Hippie Generation."

This is some of the most fascinating information I have ever seen concerning this period in our history...bringing together all the different elements of how the military/government/Laurel Canyon/Hollywood influenced America...fascinating reading that I guarantee will NOT disappoint...Charles Manson is featured, of course...
...I have heard many of those stories as I am sure you have also...
...remue sciemment la queue...
That's one of the best reads for sure.
I learned something from the prosecutor that wrote Helter Skelter (Vincent Bugliosi). He spoon fed the jury so much circumstantial evidence they couldn't ignore Manson's influence over his followers. Relates a little to current statements that correlation doesn't necessarily mean causation. Sometimes the circumstantial evidence is so overwhelming there can be no other consideration as to what the causation would be.
That is really interesting...there is always so much legal manipulation that goes on it is amazing there is any truth to be found anywhere. Words are so powerful and do matter; there are those who are pros at manipulating current thought using only words. The importance of knowing and understanding language is vital and unfortunately is becoming a lost art among the younger generation...thanks for sharing this...
