AG’s bring and defend lawsuits on behalf of the states—AG Bailey is defending our great state against a corrupt government.
His name is Andrew Bailey.
Wouldn't this set a precedent of state AGs investigating other state AGs on Federal matters?
Maybe there is the clue to my question: is there any such precedent??

The (potential) reasoning for an investigation may be hinted at in his press release:
And to be clear, all this is an announcement of a FOIA request--not an announcement of an investigation or legal proceedings.

Considering how the NY AG is actively attacking the will of the people, and if rule of law is supreme in this land, and if the lawless actions of lands like California and NY are able to directly impact the rest of the nation to the point where California by itself is able to impose statutes on the entire rest of the country, this probably needs to happen.
Just look at how every state sells products labelled as “this product is known to cause cancer by the state of California”.
Well that label is nice, but people put it on their products just out of the law being stupid, so it’s easier to just slap the sticker on the product than it is to actually rest the product. Then California gets to shove that stupid system down everyone’s throats?
We need a way to tell them to shove it.
