Yes, in my country the greenhouse gardeners add CO2 to get a competitive yield, of e g. tomatoes. They do this by burning hay or other leftovers from the fields.
We used to drop dry ice in water in our grow closet back in the day.
Does that use dry ice? Ours was a bit more primitive. Tin foils, lights, and dry ice in a bucket of water a few times a week. Ahhh... The 80's
