It's government tyranny. The effectiveness of seatbelts is questionable at best. Either way, it should be a choice, not something we're forced to do in the privacy of our own vehicles. The government should not be able to regulate any activity in a car as long as the driver can safely operate it.
True, on principle, I don't go anywhere without a seat belt, but it sure makes it easier for the peeps to collect our organs that way.
Nebraska just recently repealed their motorcycle helmet law, so people can ride without helmets now, but on principle, why would you ride without one?
I understand the right to choose, but how does it benefit our state government to pass that? There's got to be another motive to this.
It benefits them because it gets us used to compliance. Mandatory seat belts, mandatory vaccines, and soon it will be mandatory cancer screenings and prostate exams, absolute degeneracy.
