Any one have to deal with this during pregnancy? Wife needs to head in for a RhoGAM injection in the near future because of blood type incompatibilities. We had to go through it in 2021 prior to the vaccine being widespread so we weren't immensely concerned. But considering the time we live in now, not sure what our options are if any.

What type of info should I be looking for? Before the first pregnancy it was pretty much a blind sided moment when they came at us with the "your blood will kill your baby" talk so our research was mostly trying to figure out if we could avoid it back then. Now, obviously, the stakes are a little higher, but regardless, I'd be interested if you have a particular topic in mind when talking about that info.
I took the shot I am A neg husband A pos. My grandma lost her second 2 kids. When my kid was same as me they skipped the after shot and at that time they only gave after you had a positive baby. I can’t remember if I had one during pregnancy.
I don’t vaccinate the babies though.
My daughter just faced the same situation. The pressure for this vax is heavy! She refused it at her 26 (?) week appointment, and they tried again after delivery - to the point that they checked out of the hospital less than 24 hours after an emergency c-section. It’s a pooled blood product that was not tested on ANY pregnant women. It actually was mostly only tested on men, from what I remember of their arguments. I’m asking her for the name of the book they read to research it. As soon as she responds, I’ll let you know. They decided that the risks far outweighed the reward.
The name of the book is Anti-D Explained by Dr. Sara Wickham. She really did her research on this and decided to refuse the RhoGAM injection.
Awesome, thank you for the info we'll be checking on that one now :)
Please do!
My wife is a reptilian (RH-negative) and I have monkey blood (RH positive). so we (in other word "she") had to have the shot for all three of "our" pregnancies.
I support it. We did have one kid that turned out autistic but that obviously started at the one-year MMR vaccine. He was learning to speak and he said a few words very clearly. Then we took him for his 1-year MMR and he fell asleep on the way home. He developed a minor fever and pretty much slept for the next three days. On the fourth day he went back to "normal" but he could no longer say any of the words that he was able to say a week earlier,
He's six now and he has been diagnosed as autistic. He's obsessed with the Earth, the solar system , and space in general. He can name every country on Earth. He can name the moons of every planet in our solar system and beyond, and he can recite Pi to 50 places. But he can't get himself dressed and I have hope that someday he'll understand how to buckle his seat belt because, to this day, he has never been able to buckle his seat belt. Not once.
We had another boy after him and he just turned five. This one had the Rhogam shot but not the MMR and he's as normal as can be. Quite an aggressive asshole compared to his brother but normal.
My advice, for what it's worth, is Rhogam is okay but ask them to delay cutting the cord, and delay childhood vaccinations until just before your child has to start school.
