I mean after decades of incompetence and poor management. On the part of Past Administrations, and overwhelming Congressional Incompetence. There’s probably not an insignificant amount of people who probably wouldn’t mind if he pulled a Dictator and never left office. Rather than rolling the dice on whether the next guy is competent or a moron masquerading as someone competent and capable.

Almost none of the Political Parties large or small. And certainly precious few Candidates have made a good argument as to why the dynamics, traditions, and policies that have underpinned Western Politics and Governance for the past 100-150 years should continue to persist. When they seem to have been the root that lead to the current precarious societal predicament in the first place. In fact they seem to be conducting themselves as though nothing significant should change.

But I suppose it’ll be his Washington Moment. Whether he holds on to the tempting allure of power. Or gives it up and returns home to his estate. And let’s Society try to figure out what it does next.
