Fun piece of history, the first police force in the USA was employed by brothel owners after they got a law passed forbidding prostitution outside of a designated building. Pretty much sums it up to this day, laws are there to make sure the wealth stays with the wealthy. It's a rank structure where the best prostutes making the most for those above them get ahead faster and go further.
