Very true. I saw it in the hospital where young nurses just wanted to be robots and do what they were told instead of problem solving. I never will forget the morning I walked in and the night shift was laughing about a patient snoring away post surgery. Her respirations were 8/minute! The stupidity of ignoring basics is overwhelming. This patient had to receive narcan to reverse the results of the pain medications. Hospitals are ever scarier these days.
