I missed that window of opportunity to see it. Different font makes me think of hackers that wanted to make a clear statement. Maybe it is White Hat hackers giilving us comms. That would be pretty neat. Though the debt clock has secret windows, so maybe the site owner did it for some reason.
I thought the same. Not only was the font different, it was bold, bigger, darker; to make it stand out.
I just did a Yandex search, and top result is this article which has someone (on X) showing a video, where you can see it active (all the other column numbers constantly changing, like normal) while debt remains at zero.
