I kept the placenta after the birth of my baby because if I didn’t, there’s a possibility it gets “donated” to some medical institution that can do whatever they want to something that I grew and contains my DNA. I wasn’t foolishly leaving that to someone unknown and possibly nefarious.
I had a Teratoma removed from my chest the size of a softball when I was around 32. Teratomas are made up of embryonic cells, and can have teeth, hair etc. I wish I would have kept. Would have made a interesting piece to place on the mantle lol.
