Welcome to General Chat - GAW Community Area
This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.
Based on its evolving needs and plenty of user feedback, we are trying to bring some order and institute some rules. Please make sure you read these rules and participate in the spirit of this community.
Rules for General Chat
-
Be respectful to each other. This is of utmost importance, and comments may be removed if deemed not respectful.
-
Avoid long drawn out arguments. This should be a place to relax, not to waste your time needlessly.
-
Personal anecdotes, puzzles, cute pics/clips - everything welcome
-
Please do not spam at the top level. If you have a lot to post each day, try and post them all together in one top level comment
-
Try keep things light. If you are bringing in deep stuff, try not to go overboard.
-
Things that are clearly on-topic for this board should be posted as a separate post and not here (except if you are new and still getting the feel of this place)
-
If you find people violating these rules, deport them rather than start a argument here.
-
Feel free to give feedback as these rules are expected to keep evolving
In short, imagine this thread to be a local community hall where we all gather and chat daily. Please be respectful to others in the same way
I'm more or less keto/carbless now with the exception of rice with lunch during the week and only use avocado and olive oils. Once the rice is gone I'll cut the carbs all together. And try harder to avoid the occasional sugar/junk food snack lol But aside from that I do simple ingredients w/no prepackaged foods. I also consume about 3 teaspoons of Himalayan salt on weekdays, and half that on weekends and typically drink at least a gallon of water a day. I've been doing that for a while now after seeing this video:

I would love to find the study he references, but I did find myself in the heat of summer last year not feeling fatigued by the heat despite walking an average of 9 miles a day at work. Title says nicotine but he delves into sodium as well.
I also just finished a CDS protocol which I try and do every few months or so. MMS was a tremendous benefit to me a couple years ago when I first heard of it and gave it a try. Coming off of a decade long run of heavy excessive drinking I had a terrible inner dialogue, after MMS it was gone. Prior to my recent CDS protocol I hadn't done it in quite some time and had been noticing unusual anxiety and doomy feelings, and now cleared up. Also with the CDS, I'd start at 4 AM, finish by 11 and did TRE/intermittent fasting and would eat at noon, 3, and 6ish. I make my own CDS by the way, after finding MMS, then CDS and hoping I could get more people to try it I bought components to DIY it.
I remember years ago seeing those patches advertised, Kanoka or something that you put on your heels overnight, this is the first I've heard of them actually doing anything. Well not them per say, but that type of thing. I'll look for some now.
I'm also curious to try hydrogenated water. I came across 144hydrogenman or something on YT a while back but the machines he peddles are way too much $$ for me. I tried one of those hydrogen cups from Amazon but have returned it shortly after, and later today am picking up a used older Lourdes hydrogen machine I found on FB MP. Nothing foot odor related, but along with other methods I've seen on podcasts I guess it oxygenates your body in rejuvenating ways.
I've tried a plethora of different things over the past 3 or 4 years with most not really doing much, but MMS/CDS has absolutely been the best find for me.
Thanks for your insight!
