Think of all the "A" list actors and actresses from the last 30 years, where are they. They are not making movies. Many of the movies being released these days have no name actors or are animated. Remember the writer strike, shutting down late night TV shows? I think the swamp drain taking place in Washington DC has spread to a few more locations.
