I mean that’s nice but all that’s going to happen is people are going to demand more tips for services where no tip was previously required. We’re already seeing that with takeout services wanting tips, restaurants that don’t have table service wanting tips, and now you when you go get ice cream they want a 20% tip for scooping it for you.
And before 15% was average, now places want 20% minimum. The other thing that I’ve seen is restaurants adding a percent of yout bill for a service fee for the back kitchen and then they want you to tip the same amount on top of that.
I’m so sick of tips, just charge me whatever the hell you want and skip the tip.
Totally agree. It’s like taxation on your food bill. We went to Germany a few years ago and the restaurants were completely empty. The only people that were in there were the tourist and when you look at your bill, you see all these extra charges. That’s what’s going to happen to the restaurants here in America if they keep going this way.

Yeah that tip thing is out of hand..supposed to be for service not standing behind counter
And they had the cc fee 2-3% on top of wanting all the tips.
