Ironically, three weeks ago I went out to get the mail. In the mailbox was a letter with snowflakes on the envelope. Upon opening it, I discovered a Christmas card. We live in Ohio and the person who sent it lives, 25 minutes by car, in Ohio. The postmark was in February in Atlanta, Georgia and took 3 months to reach us from Atlanta. For this we pay for a postal increase? My cousin has sent in payments for phone and other bills that never arrived and are still missing. This is a sign of the state we are in: we reward inferior work and ineptitude. No one wants to work. No one takes pride in their job. No one is paid based on real performance, so why bother to do a good job? No one is promoted based on performance, rather promotion is based on being in the good old boys’ club and keeping your mouth shut, DEI, conformity. Until this changes, we will be a failing nation. It is pervasive in all areas. I saw it in the health care arena also.
I know the Postal Service can be slow to deliver but....
