The only problem with this line of thinking, is that animals don’t have souls. They are here to breed for food, and for agriculture, and for a symbiotic relationship with earth. ie: bees, pollinate, the food chain of insects and other critters, etc…
God created us in his image, we actually have a soul! He made Adam and Eve, - not Adam, Eve, Evelyn, and Evie - God said the two should come together as one, and procreate. God only took one rib from Adam - so that should be your answer right there.
Also keep in mind with your logic, at the beginning of time people were living 100s of years, so they were able to procreate at more robust pace - pending the nine month pregnancy. But keep in mind there was no birth control, so the babies just kept coming.
😂😂😂

nephesh is the Hebrew term for soul, and is used for both the 'soul' of animals and the soul of humans. The distinction that should be made here is that mankind is made in God's image, which the animals are not.
if animals have souls like people, then how do they get to heaven? if you have a soul, I’m going to assume that you need to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior - so how does an animal do that? Since I haven’t seen anything in that Bible about that, then I’m gonna have to say that animals don’t have souls like humans do.
This is a hard take, because I’m literally a pet sitter and I care for peoples animals on the regular. Each of them have beautiful personalities, and are so loving and caring. How does all of this work. I can’t find it in the Bible, however, I am hopeful that there will be animals in heaven.
How could there not? I just don’t know how to wrap my mind around that biblically. I’m trusting a merciful God

I beg to differ on the point that:

There is a good book on the topic called Resurrection by apologist Hank Hanegraff, who covers the issue in a chapter in the book:
https://www.amazon.com/Resurrection-Hank-Hanegraaff-audiobook/dp/B00005KA61
They have living souls, but (as I mentioned) they are not created in the image of God.
Interesting. I have heard of Hank Hanagraff
Very true
