I’d take it one step further, if you accept tax dollars as a salary etc. you suspend your voting rights. no more voting in self interest. the rest of us can decide if you deserve more $$$$.

And if there is any control of laws or regulations, no stock trading or other investments allowed. What they have stays going in stays frozen until they leave office, including their entire family, friends, and subject to a third party audit.

Well I'm more worried about them flipping votes, actually than their one vote, at this point in time. Maybe down the pike though
