Eh.....not really. I think most of us here would be considered "right wing", because most of us - in general - believe in the smallest government, the most individual liberties and freedoms possible, consistent with an organized society.

I think some of the biggest differences between left & right - other than you can't make any argument whatsoever that the left in any way supports true individual liberties and freedoms - are on social & cultural issues, which are enormous.

"Diversity" is a fully leftist belief; equality of OUTCOME is a leftist tenant, and so much more. Related to and equally critical is immigration; look at the left vs. right views on that.

Hell; even stuff like believing that the traditional nuclear family is the building block of society is very much a "right wing" fact. (it's not an opinion, it's a fact, but viewed by the left as being "right wing")

So; no; not the same bird.

Most democrats & republicans in most levels of government - sure, they're all one big thieving, corrupt, grafting party.

But fundamentally, there is a big difference between right and left.
