In principle, I don’t have a problem with Juneteenth except for its stupid-sounding name. The end of slavery was a huge leap forward for the liberty of countless Americans, similar to (though not quite as big as) Independence Day. I know I would support a similar holiday being instituted to celebrate the day abortion is eventually outlawed.
