This is not a real holiday for all Americans. I don't care about it, just as I don't care about the other stupid one, Kwaanza. Did I spell that right? I don't care.....
In fact, this day is the day on which I was married, so there's that. I don't celebrate that either, since it was not a good decision. So, today is just a regular day. Too much pandering for me. Yes, there was slavery and it was horrible. People descended from slaves are not slaves. They have had generations to shake off the touch of slavery. They are just like us. I don't think they need these celebrations to make them OK. Celebrate and leave the rest of us alone.
I like Juneteenth better than any of the homosexual celebrations, islamic or jewish observances, and MLK day. Slavery is not Christian but unfortunately a small percentage of early Americans adopted the jews’ and muslims’ slavery practice. We celebrate the unified Christian effort of abolishing slavery. MLK and the civil rights movement were irrelevant by a century, so they overcompensated by giving financial, vocational, and political privilege to nonwhites and by violating people’s right to free association.
Ending slavery = good
LBJ’s Great Society welfare state; Affirmative Action; the violent government blocking us from only dealing with who we want = bad
Like how people talk about [political] "black issues" instead of American issues. Commies already got their social wedge driven into society the moment American issues are twisted into "black issues."
My perfectly ignorant take on it is that it seems like it could be a perfectly fine holiday IF:
They celebrated it as a furthering of AMERICA’S fight against slavery and for freedom rather than separatist Black Culture and triumph over the racist white man. Take the stupid divisive parts out, emphasize the common ground. Nobody likes slavery or wants anyone else enslaved. (Biggest “duh” point we could possibly ever point out)
It was pointed out that we are currently all debt slaves to private bankers, which similarly needs to be defeated
They didn’t demonize the south as the bad guy and maybe pointed out how slavery continued on in the north long after the war ended, and emphasized the role of the CW, as with the American Revolution as part of a larger struggle of humanity for freedom against oppressors
There was honesty about the specific people who actually ran the slave trade, or the fact that all people have been enslaved at some point or another, but since the same people who ran the trade write and print the history books and tv broadcasting, we know that’s not going to happen
Instead there’s no honesty, no messages of unity, no seeking of common ground, constant stress of division and tribalism…. this is the exact same way they’ve gotten the Irish and the English and the English and French to be hostile each other for centuries. Nothing to do with skin color. Deliberate construction of tribes, followed by puppet masters working toward creation of grievances and intentionally trying to exacerbate wrongs and steer away from constructive, unifying solutions.
Go figure it was made a national holiday by democrats when it does that. Slavemasters before, slavemasters now.
Any thoughts on how could we inject unifying themes into their attempts at division? Can’t fight against it, that just sets the stupid fishing hook deeper. Trump is probably after some similar objectives with what he’s doing. The goal seems to be to find the attributes that make us ALL better. Not necessarily sure how to best do that.
WWG1WGA, fren! Thoughts? Am I totally dumb, here? Quite frankly, it’s difficult to discuss stuff like this.. would be nice if the opportunities to do so were more readily available… but they intentionally make it hard, so here we are.
The Woke way that Juneteenth is typically framed and celebrated is off-putting because everything Woke is a twisted lie, BUT regardless of that element, celebrating the END OF SLAVERY in America is plenty worthwhile.
Slavery is pure evil. I'm glad it's gone (at least as a legal means of "owning" another human being; we all know that human trafficking still exists, but outside the law . . . Trump is working on that). YOU're glad its gone too, of course; who isn't?
When Woke is just a sour faded memory, the end of legal slavery in America will still be worth celebrating. Perhaps we'll give the holiday a new name.
In principle, I don’t have a problem with Juneteenth except for its stupid-sounding name. The end of slavery was a huge leap forward for the liberty of countless Americans, similar to (though not quite as big as) Independence Day. I know I would support a similar holiday being instituted to celebrate the day abortion is eventually outlawed.

Do you not understand the post at all? Juneteenth should the day we celebrate the communist traitors being executed.
Has to be a bot
I am black.
Even I know this is a bullshit Holiday. I wish Trump wouldn't support this none sense.
But he does.

My issue has to do the reason why they are pushing the holiday.
It has nothing to do wih slavery. It has everything to do with marxism.
Everything "black" in this country is not really organic. It's marketing by the Cabal.

true, and it’s not as if they’re getting rid of MLK day

Yeah it's just hard for me to trust these commies.
Good point. The Commies can NEVER be trusted because being a Commie means being opposed to freedom and being committed to destroying civil society.

A swing and a miss! Look and read the image.
