Many fled to neighboring Zambia, to do well there. They consider going back, but they are now older, have sunk new roots, and realize that it would be meaningless to go back if their properties weren't fully restored---and then they would essentially have to reconstruct them from the negligence and ruin. Not many takers. Elections have consequences. And Mnangagwa is not a nice guy, even though he is not as beastly as Mugabe. Still, Zim is struggling towards---what can I say?---less poverty.
