If by a lot you mean an above average amount, then yes, total lie.
There's an above average amount. That's not a lie. It's not nearly as bad as public schools, and I'm sure Disney is even worse, but it's a problem that can affect any heirarchical structure, Christian or not. If it's centralized, it can be infiltrated. Which leads to the other problem: Good Catholics have their faith tarnished by the sins of corrupted leadership.
Certainly, the sin of scandal is significant.
But it's by some numbers not above average. It's likely not as clear-cut as either of us want it to be.
And you're also right that the evil one seeks to infiltrate anything he can. But I'd argue that the common factor in all institutions is their eventual fall as of result of him... all institutions, that is, except the Catholic Church. The Gates of Hell have not prevailed yet, and I'd wager based on precedents that they won't be any time soon... or ever.

You made it a point to separate the Catholic Church from other Christian denominations, and to then imply that the rate is much higher than average.
This is a lie, public schools are worse but no one goes after them of course, and some sources even claim it's lower than average in the Church.
Yes, because many people don't consider Catholics to even be Christians.
I'm quite sure that people "go after" pedophiles in the public school system. I'm not sure why you think otherwise.
And the Catholic Church has had an historic "problem" with priests sexually abusing children and it being covered up by TPTB in the church.

But do you not see the hypocrisy of one member of The Satanic Temple being accused of pedophilia, and the conversation being about how it's someone from The Satanic Temple? How often does that happen here?
ALL pedophiles suck. It doesn't matter what group they belong to.
But look at the posts here about pedophiles, and its usually a conversation about how it's liberal that is the pedophile, or it's a gay person.
Do people think straight Christians can't be pedophiles? Or are people from The Satanic Temple and gay people and liberals held to a higher standard, and it's particularly horrible when they are the ones that are pedophiles?
Or is it just hypocrisy?
