As a conservative Roman Catholic I understand that the more Conservative Catholics are the ones who actually go to Church. There are Democrats who attend my church but they are in certainly in the minority.

I’m in world where one out of 8 people are Catholic be aware that even though one may call themselves a Catholic it doesn’t mean they faithfully attend Mass or follow their beliefs.

In my own cul de sac where I live there are 3 other Catholic families. I’m the only one who attends church My neighbor next door not only was raised Catholic but she still considers herself Catholic. She’s a liberal Democrat who believes in abortion. If someone polled her she’d say she was Catholic even though she probably stopped practicing her own faith after leaving her parents home.

Thus do NOT believe in the polls. Many of those responding to these polls no longer practice their faith even though they still consider them self a Catholic.
