The Jewish lineage of Jesus is detailed in the Gospels of Matthew and Luke:
Matthew’s Genealogy (Matthew 1:1-17):
Luke’s Genealogy (Luke 3:23-38):
Both genealogies affirm Jesus’ descent from David, fulfilling Old Testament prophecies about the Messiah's lineage.
There's A LOT more But to deny that Jesus was indeed a Jew is absolutely ridiculous.
Who do you think Jesus was exactly ethnically?
As for your other objection It's not even an objection as much as it is just ignoring something that's obviously true. And this is coming from someone taking a very objective view on this subject. I'm not a Jew. I don't support Israel. I don't believe that Jerusalem has any place in future biblical prophecy as a Christian. I don't support the rebuilding of the temple or the reinstatement of the sacrifice. I don't support sending money to Israel.
I'd say my position is pretty straightforward and unbiased. How about you?
" And thou Bethlehem Ephrathah art little to be among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me, that shall be the ruler in Israel: whose goings forth have been from the beginning and from everlasting. -- Micah 5:2 -- 1599 Geneva Bible
Never miss an opportunity to miss a heavenly opportunity , while always seizing the ruler of this worlds pleasures.
You seem to have a poor understanding of the Biblical definition of what constitutes a Jew.
Birthplace Bethlehem = Part of Judah His Parents = Jews His Linage = Jewish Royalty line of King David & Solomon His birth, life & death = Fulfilled Jewish Messianic prophecies (including being born in Bethlehem)
How exactly is Jesus not Jewish?
Jesus is seated at the right hand of the Father making all His enemies His footstool. He is ruling not only Israel but the entire world. ALL authority has been given to Him.
I know scripture and Biblical history quite well. What I'm trying to understand is your reasoning and get an explanation for why you believe Jesus is not a Jew cause frankly I've never heard that one before and I do alot of apologetics and I'l like to document this new flavor of objection to scripture.
It really boils down to your definition of "Jew".
Is it simply being a descendant of Judah? If so, that would indeed make Jesus a Jew.
Is it exclusively upholding the Torah, while refusing further Divine instructions (i.e. The Gospel)? If so, that would indeed make Jesus NOT a Jew.
In all cases, Jews want nothing to do with either Jesus or his mother and openly disrespect both.
Edit: Jesus would be considered antisemitic, by today's standards.
Maybe slow down to improve your Reading Comprehension. King by the way here on earth.
