I’m a member of The Church of Jesus Christ. I respectfully disagree. That has not been my experience. And I consider myself a Christian. I try hard to live t he sort of life He taught.
Just remember, the Jesus of mormonism is the spirit brother of Lucifer (a created being). The Jesus of the Bible is the fullness of deity in human flesh, from everlasting to everlasting. (not a created being). Mormons worship a different Jesus. That being said there are a lot of sincere mormons that are good people. I left at age 34 in circa 1987. My father, a product of polygamy, (ex bishop) and mother left in their mid 60's. My sister and her husband (in their 70's) left recently.
A myriad of gods, each with their own planet making eternal love in their physical bodies with a myriad of wives, producing millions of spirit children (no physical body) which will inhabit a planet they rein over where these spirit children are born in order to gain their physical bodies.
Yes, you do interpret passages of scripture differently, quite differently.

Best of luck fren.
I have a co-worker, an older woman, who's deadset on me coming to see her church (LDS). I'm currently looking for a church so I'm intrigued.
Why do you disagree with the comment above? What has been your experience?

Correct. We believe that all beings are spirit children of heavenly parents. And some chose evil.
As so many others, we interpret passages of scripture differently. 1000 translations, 10^6 interpretations.

“A myriad of gods,”
“each with their own planet”
“making eternal love in their physical bodies”
“with a myriad of wives,”
“producing millions of spirit children (no physical body)”
“which will inhabit a planet they rein over”
“where these spirit children are born in order to gain their physical bodies.”
I wish you the best fren.
