I could go for a Linux burger instead. So many distributions to choose from, and you won't get sick!

Been using Ubuntu MATE for several years now.

MATE desktop is a fork of gnome2. Gnome3 sucks IMO.

Kind of plain and boring looking but it has some neat features.

I prefer .deb packaging.

Ian Murdock did not kill himself.

Gnome3 is like the Fisher Price version of Linux. I use Mint Mate. I went with Mate since it's more customizable than Cinnamon.
