It is quite simple. They do not honor property rights. Never have. This sentiment has always been forstered by .gov handouts i.e. entitlement.

Given the current climate, it is as if these big town folks think that they are "allowing" farmers to farm, by their leave.

It also is a consequence of EMINENT DOMAIN, as this undermines property rights. But, steal their iphone, and their world crumbles to shit.
