"Worry is like praying for something you don't want."
I've been watching a lot of liberal propaganda lately and scrolling through the comments on r/politics. It's really interesting to get a glimpse into the world they live in.
In the liberal world, the Supreme Court just ruled that a president can do whatever he wants and claim full legal immunity. Trump could order a drone strike on the DNC and have that fall perfectly within the new law. He could have all political opponents arrested and even commit acts that violate the constitutional framework. Under a certain interpretation, the President is now effectively a King.
Meanwhile, Trump is now publicly calling for televised military tribunals against his political enemies (dailydot.com) and key allies in the government are backing his plea.
“The Democrats keep calling President Trump a felon. Well, be careful what you wish for. I expect there will be an investigation of Biden’s criminality at the border,” said Graham. “This country is going to have a reset here, and, using Biden’s standard of glorifying political prosecutions, a Pandora’s box has been opened. Whether he steps down or not, accountability is coming to him.”
Trump was found guilty in May of 34 felony counts by a Manhattan jury, in a trial that Trump and his allies have insisted was rigged for him to lose. Now Trump’s allies want the same for Biden.
“Sir, you just warned of retribution,” Bash replied.
“Yeah. I warned that the Pandora’s box opened by the Democrats is going to be applied here,” Graham said.
According to the prevailing liberal narrative, Trump is going to be the last President in American history. They fully expect their Democrat politicians to be arrested and removed from office if Biden loses this election. Trump will likely get 2-3 more appointments to the Supreme Court leaving the highest court firmly in his influence. He'll also have the chance to appoint judges across the country and reshape the entire federal bureaucracy through plans laid out in Project 2025.
In this nightmare scenario for Democrats, you'd expect their champion to be someone capable of rising to the occasion to defend "our democracy", but alas, their nominee is an invalid retard incapable of defending even the most basic of liberal assumptions. A good half of likely Democratic voters believe Biden is unfit for office. Roughly 70% of Americans want him to step down, and these are just what we're allowed to see from polling. It's looking very, very bad for Joe Biden.
And yet, the demented president is still being urged along the path of defeat by his wife and crackhead son Hunter. Democrats are practically held hostage by a blatantly corrupt party establishment and insulted daily by a laughably incompetent avatar in the White House. Their last line of defense for the cause of "democracy" is a senile old man backed by a shadowy, unelected administration that frequently gaslights the American public. If Biden is democracy, democracy truly deserves to die.
Democrats know this. The truly delusional holdouts are few and far between at this point. They're now fully expecting the worst case scenario and resigning themselves to an unrecognizable country shaped by their political enemies.
The situation Democrats find themselves in is an important lesson in the significance of political rhetoric. For years Democrats tried to push their opposition outside of the system, claiming the regime entirely to themselves. Now they're about to lose, and the 200+ year old regime is about to fall with them. Their prayers came true. Democracy is coming to an end, and they played the critical role in that.
I am inclined to agree on that front.
I was pretty liberal in a lot of my views, but due to their actions and reactions I have been forced to re-evaluate fairly frequently for the last two decades.
It started with the divide wrenched wide by Obama, when my mother was called racist simply for not wanting to vote for him -- not based on his skin color. I've never met a more generous person who never cared whether someone was black or white or Asian or so on.
It just kept moving forward from there, and many things made me start questioning them.
The last straw for me as a more liberal person was when I saw Reddit flip like a switch overnight when Hillary was nominated, shilling so hard and vilifying the man who had been their hero not long prior (Assange).
Then I got to see more and more as I participated more frequently on The Donald, more of their lies, hysteria, their oppressive tendencies, their "Punch a Nazi" violence, how it was okay for Spez to edit comments of Trump supporters or how it was okay to harass users by blacklisting them for even posting one time on The Donald, regardless of what that post was.
To go through everything we have, and to look at Biden and say "I'm a vote for him because orange man bad, no matter what happens!" means there is something critically and irredeemably wrong with at minimum, most of them.
I’ve been breaking my head trying to figure out how to get the sleepers to notice the inconsistencies. It’s what woke me up, too.
I’ve often wondered at u/ZerroDefex’s point about them being empty vessels. Would filling them with the Holy Spirit resolve that?
Is it possible none of us can “wake up” without receiving the spirit?
Doesn’t seem so. We have nonbelievers here. What worked for them? Were they, while not saved, free from bondage to evil spirits?
I’ve got no clue, but it’s incredibly frustrating.
