I quoted another verse of Revelations saying that, but what you have yet to show me is how you justify calling those angels "demons". Scripture refers to them as "angels" or "sons of God".
If the forces of light are angels, what are the forces of darkness? Where do they come from? Led by the Devil, they were originally good angels who rebelled and turned against God. These 'fallen angels' are also called evil spirits, unclean spirits, or demons.
Also angels, specifically ones that sinned against God and were cast out of heaven and bound to hell (Tartarus in some translations).
2 Peter 2:4
i saw this too and was surprised by this. i was always taught that the one's that were cast into hell already are the one's that mated with human women? i honestly don't know. we do know that scriptures says that satan roams the earth.
so much info and such a small brain (for me). God wants us to discuss fren.
scripture refers to them as fallen angels, not just angels. there is a difference. and yes, good or bad just as humans, we are sons and daughters of the most high as well. doesn't mean we are all good.
Sorry, I don't mean to be a pain fren, but the Word of God is a topic I really strive to learn about and also be precise about, so do you have a specific verse?
I previously quoted several relevant passages to the topic and I don't recall seeing the phrase "fallen angels" anywhere. I'm sure you'll find at least one passage in Revelations that has both angel and fallen in the same verse, but not immediately together like that.
i know fren, i've been searching and can't find where the Bible actually states that the fallen angels are demons. i did find that scripture about Jesus casting out demons from a human into the pigs, but it still doesn't link to fallen angels. it must just be something i was taught as a child and never questioned?
you def had me searching and i'm sorry i misunderstood your question about a direct link. i think you are right about no scripture linking them because i've searched the internet and can't find it.
thanks for bringing to my attention. have a great weekend.
Enjoy your Independence Day! I saw a lecture from Chuck Missler which I found greatly helpful in trying to make sense of this. He looks at some of the key scriptures around the Nephilim and goes to the original Hebrew to shed some light on the translations and unsurprisingly the Catholic Church a very long time ago started teaching a version of this that I think runs contrary to the actual translation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sQTgw0mNYxw
