I see a lot of people, liberals mostly saying that we can't leave NATO or our "allies" because if we do, we will isolate ourselves and our economy will collapse. They do have a point in the reality of the dollar being a global fiat reserve currency. Once the dollar loses the global reserve currency status, we will enter hyperinflation akin to Weimar Germany in before WW2.
We could mitigate that by returning to the gold standard, however will that be enough to compensate for the loss of our trading partners?
Enter Russia.
Currently Russia is slowly experiencing a little renaissance of it's own. It has surpassed Japan's economy as we speak. So how is it possible that a country who is currently sanctioned by most of the civilized world is currently experiencing an economic growth?
The answer might surprise you: they're rebuilding their industry.
You see, when the USSR was destroyed, they still had an enormous industrial base which could have been used to rebuild Russia to a superpower. However, the cabal never intended for Russia to be non other than a resource colony to the west.
Through their assets, aka the oligarchs they "privatized" all the state owned industries and intentionally destroyed them basically turning Russia into a resource colony which they planned to pillage. All the products that were produced locally, now started being imported from multinational corporations.
It was a win-win for the cabal. They got cheap resources and then sold them expensive western trinkets.
That plan was delayed when Putin came to power. However the foundations were there and Russia was still the west's resource colony. Just look at their exports prior to 2022. They exported primarily wheat, oil, natural gas and artificial fertilizers. Not exactly the exports of a well developed industrialized country.
After the war in Ukraine started, the rest of the world imposed some of the heaviest sanctions possible. This forced the Russians to rebuild their industrial sector since they couldn't rely on foreign imports anymore.
As a results, despite the initial drop, Russia's economy has slowly stabilized and is now growing. Their industries are being rebuilt as well. More and more Russians are opening new businesses to compensate for the loss of western products.
So how does all of this apply to the US?
The cabal did something similar to our country as well. Instead of oligarchs, they've used corporations to "outsource" our industrial sector. The logic was that products built with slave labor are cheaper than American made products.
This not only reduced the amount of jobs available, but also the wages in general. As more and more people are now competing for a smaller amount of jobs. This is also compounded that you have illegal immigrants coming in and taking these jobs from Americans.
If we were to do what Russia did and rebuild our industrial sector, that will dramatically reduce our reliance on "external partners". Just like Russia, we have a resource rich country and we have a lot of amazing and hardworking people as well. All that we need is just go back to the gold standard and the biggest crash of our lifetimes can be avoided.
I imagine this is Trump's playbook to when it comes to the economy for the next 20-30 years.
As a sidenote: I was born and raised in one of the european soviet republics. Russian is my second language(english is my third). If you want I can post more about Russia/USSR in general.
Yes please. I am a sponge for history.
My connection to Russia is that I recognized them as 'looking like us (i.e. familial similarity) ' when I was nine years old.
My problem at that time was that I was bullied (physically beaten) in primary school for 'being different': I did not look like a 'normal' Dutch person. So, the realization was like: Oh, those Russians are my people.
I have since figured out that the perscution was racist - which was a weird concept when I was young - racism between white people?? It was because I am Frisian (Dutch Vikings), trying to be a Dutch person. And yes, Frisians look like Russians, because vast swathes of Russia were Vikings too. LoL. There it is.
My dad's response to the familial recognition was cryptic - "Those Russians are really smart" - Which didn't make sense at the time, but does now. He said that because Frisians are really smart - they were naval engineers and metallurgists, (and yes my family had a long tradition of being those) when the rest of Europe were in the post-Roman Dark ages.
What's your first language?
My first language is romanian, though I'm not from Romania.
Sorry to hear about your childhood. You should have made friends with the local russians. They would've nether let anyone bully you. They are very fierce and protect their own. And by their own, I mean their friends as well.
I will say this about the Russians: they were the first nation to reach space while under communism. By comparison, China is struggling to do what the Russian engineers achieved over 60 years ago. They were also the first ones to build a functioning nuclear power plant, again, under communism. Them Russians are very smart people.
A lot of them get very defensive when people say that they are descendents from vikings. They take their slavic heritage very seriously lol. I lot of russian historic videos on youtube go to great lengths to debunk the fact that the russians come from vikings.
I wished there were Russians there, but that school only had Dutch people, British and Irish people, and two Americans. In any case, I was pretty friendless that year, and only saw some resolution the next year, when a half-Indonesian Boy, who was a little older than me (repeat-year), decided to befriend me and stood off the bullies. And he had big fists, for a skinny chap - he remained my friend for some years.
Re: Slav vs. Viking, the largest DNA study to date (I know that is sensitive subject) shows large swathes (down the rivers) of Viking settlement in Rus-land in the tenth Century. https://www.medievalists.net/2020/09/viking-genetics/
Mind you the same is said about Slavs, re: timing.
So the Viking DNA does not exclude Slav ancestry, though - because peoples merge over time, and the tenth century might have been a movement of lots of people. And I can totally relate to the Slav analysis - indeed, my dad, my brother, and my sons look like Darker Slavs (my dad), (as well as some of them are blonde Vikings), depending.
When one of my (blonde) sons worked as an extra in a WW1 movie, they cast him as a Both Brit (Solid Saxon looking) AND a German (Just more high cheek-bones - and by accentuating a (childhood) scar on his face. LOLOL.)
It would be great if you could double-check, videos of people speaking in Russian. Unusually their is a translation, but it's nice to double-check.
From what I've seen so far, every video that has a translation is accurate. So no misinformation as far as I can tell.
It's usually english articles that say: Putin did this or Putin said that. When I check the Russian sphere, even their conspiracy websites, there is nothing there.
Good to know.
Thank you.
If that's the case, what is your first language?
It's Romanian, though I'm not from Romania
Thanks for this!
I think Trump is going to not destroy globalism. But reroute it based on locations.
I have a feeling that we will be doing a lot of trading with South and Central America.
Some of the plants in China might be rerouted to South and Central America. As well as come back home.
We will see. Most likely in this multi polar world that is taking shape, trading is going to become very regional, except for exotic goods.
It will be interesting to see what happens.
Indeed.
Things aren't looking good for western europe. They lost their access to cheap russian gas, and now their economies are tanking. Buying gas from us is too expensive for them. And their "refugee" problem is knocking on their door as we speak.
Not looking good for them unless they change something very drastically.
