Welcome to General Chat - GAW Community Area
This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.
Based on its evolving needs and plenty of user feedback, we are trying to bring some order and institute some rules. Please make sure you read these rules and participate in the spirit of this community.
Rules for General Chat
-
Be respectful to each other. This is of utmost importance, and comments may be removed if deemed not respectful.
-
Avoid long drawn out arguments. This should be a place to relax, not to waste your time needlessly.
-
Personal anecdotes, puzzles, cute pics/clips - everything welcome
-
Please do not spam at the top level. If you have a lot to post each day, try and post them all together in one top level comment
-
Try keep things light. If you are bringing in deep stuff, try not to go overboard.
-
Things that are clearly on-topic for this board should be posted as a separate post and not here (except if you are new and still getting the feel of this place)
-
If you find people violating these rules, deport them rather than start a argument here.
-
Feel free to give feedback as these rules are expected to keep evolving
In short, imagine this thread to be a local community hall where we all gather and chat daily. Please be respectful to others in the same way
The ai that hedgefunds use to control stock prices is being exposed.
Latest exposure is this - Someone made a post about DFV possibly buying into KOSS next. Almost immediately after this was posted KOSS stock went up 30%.

Now remember that show "Person of Interest" with Jim Caviezel? The entire show is very interesting to (re)watch now. So many of the plot lines are based on subjects that Q brought to our attention. Watch the show anons. The 1st season is mostly cop action fluff, but by the 2nd-3rd season it changes entirely. Its made in a normie friendly format, but at the time no one was making shows with these sort of plots. Jim Caviezel (Sound of Freedom) involvement is worth looking into.
(SPOILER ALERT)
Season 4 epsiode 19 "Search and Destroy" - This episode features a character that is clearly based on John Mcafee. About a billionaire coding genius whos antivirus program is pre-installed on government computers worldwide. Then a rogue ai gets involved and gains access to that av software.
Part of what the rogue ai does is target the Mcafee guys stock price, and drops it to the point of nearly bankrupting his company.
Comments are made along the lines of "So now they can control the stock market".
And now here we are. Exposing the fact that hedge funds have ai that can directly control the stock market.
My brother has been telling me to watch POI for 10 years now, but I just cant go past the first couple seasons. He was so proud when all the Q stuff I tell him seems to fit with the POI and he is pretty convinced Q is the AI in that Movie. I am not convinced, but I think I really need to slog through the first season and watch the rest. But the problem is, there is so much content to cover every day, very hard to burn time on an old show ...
I thought it was standard cop show for many years and ignored it. And when I eventually watched it, felt the same way for the first season. That episode is a good one to get a sense of the later seasons.
I probably never would have got into it before Q appeared though.
Maybe they did the standard cop drama 1st season just to get the horse in the gates, then started moving in a whole new direction. They use so many Q related subjects.
Even just the whole ai over-arcing plot was so far ahead of its time. No one was making shows about ai back then.
What’s POI?
Person of Interest..it’s one of my all time fav shows with Jim Caviezel
I thought it was that but didn’t want to assume. It is a truly great show.
