Here's the deal, as per my education in nutritional therapy: When you eat raw food, you consume the LIVE enzymes within it. When you "get horizontal", those LIVE enzymes travel around your body and repair it. This is repair for your whole body. So, when you "get horizontal", first ask yourself: "Did I eat any raw food today" If the answer is " Yes, a lot", that is good and you can sleep knowing you are being repaired in that moment. However, if a parade of processed and dead foods pass through your mind, you should make yourself promise to do better tomorrow. Fermented foods, LOADED with beneficial bacteria and also raw, should be right on top of the menu in the morning, or asap. A salad is loaded with beneficial bacteria, being raw. Raw fruit, raw dairy, like yogurt, raw meat or fish, cheeses, you name it and if it is uncooked and raw, you've got it. Just remember that enzymes in food are killed at 118 degrees F, so, while eating cooked food is fine, eating raw food gives you the enzyme boost for repair. It should be a big part of your diet.
