Almighty God, Our Father in Heaven, we thank you with all our heart for your protection for President Trump and all those who survived this cruel attack.
We know that Corey Compretore now is safe and well with you and in peace. Please send us your love and forgiveness, peace and comfort especially for the families of those that died and got injured. Fill their heart with your strength and endurance, with wisdom and healing love.
Help us to carry on, trusting your guidance and wisdom, never doubting your love and that you know best for all of us, especially in these darkest times.

I had a big one, had just gotten my license and an illegal left-turned through their red light head on into me, panicked and accelerated so carried our locked cars together into a cement wall corner. Pushed the steering wheel up to my chest- airbag failed at the right moment. Next day, was with my dad when the appraiser offered condolences because clearly the driver couldn't have survived... You should have seen his face when I said I was the driver. Now, I'd never seen someone else shaken to the core before that moment. He went very pale and staggered back a step. That's when it really sunk in to me, what a miracle that was. (Years and years later, I got a scan checking on something else, found out I had torn cartilage and a break all the way through one leg; I feel it now occasionally when the air pressure is changing in a certain way.)
