Not only did the SS fail to secure a raised position quite close to the podium at the event, they had two snipers watching it who must have seen someone with a rifle crawling on the roof. What do they expect a threat to look like, I wonder.
Then we had the policeman who supposedly went up the ladder after the shooter, challenged him, had a rifle pointed at him so climbed down again. A radio message and a couple of warning shots would not have gone amiss.
Then we have the people on the ground pointing out the danger but no-one connected with event security could hear them.
