even IF it is the rules of engagement, they should have had SS surround him as soon as they seen the idiot on the roof and removed Trump from the stage.

also, why would they think it would be Ok to see a random guy on top of a building roof, during a rally and think he's not up to no good??

and even if they would have removed Trump from the stage, who's to stop the maniac on the roof from firing into the crowd. no, they shouldn't ever wait for the perpetrator to fire first in this kind of situation, ever.

Yeah, absolutely. The cops weren't taking it seriously either. As soon as the guy was reported on the roof, Trump should have been taken off the stage immediately while they investigated. Nobody involved with security seemed to take their job seriously. Had they behaved in a competent manner nobody would have been hurt, much less died.
