Dallas officer accused of posting ‘aim better' online after Trump assassination attempt
Following an assassination attempt on former U.S. President Donald Trump, a Dallas police sergeant has been placed on administrative leave after being accused of posting “aim better” on social media over the weekend.
He has a right to his opinion, and to voice it. But in the position he is in, it is beyond stupid and makes his ability to function impartially questionable.
When you put on the gun and badge, you WILLINGLY SACRIFICE some of that right to blurt out whatever thoughts might happen to dance across your idle brain—lest you be perceived as a clear and present danger to the public and be relieved of said gun and badge.
