Because Catholics deify Mary as a goddess with supernatural powers. This was done to appeal to pagans long ago.
Luke 11:27-28

Mary was great. But only Christ was resurrected. We mustn't elevate Mary to the level of a goddess. I'm tired of responding to Catholics about their worshiping of demigods. I've said enough on this topic.
