It implies they were not given permission to help and aid those in trouble or with difficulty because of the shooting. But the truth is, their department is asserting that they did not have permission to be there on duty at the rally and assist at the rally in the first place.
It's still bogus, and suspect, but the notion that they got transferred because "they helped people without permission" is false and fake news, clickbait by the X OP, imo.
Sources told Chief Investigator Rick Earle that those cycle officers were asked to assist with the Former President’s motorcade to that rally in Butler County on Saturday.
According to Earle’s sources, the officers claim they notified the proper personnel with the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police and received authorization to help, but according to the same sources, the bureau said they didn’t get permission.
That’s more understandable but you would think as a police officer wherever you are wouldn’t you automatically help people? I bet if it was a Biden event they wouldn’t have been reassigned.

100%
But they are not being attacked for helping out at the scene. They are being attacked for being at the scene (their bosses are asserting that they weren't given the proper permission to be there on duty.
I bet the people they helped are happy they were. And being punished in this case is totally suspect. Unless they legitimately broke protocol and went there 'on duty' when they weren't authorized.
I think our community here has a natural bias against authority figures abusing their power, but until more facts come to light, we shouldn't necessarily just leap to conclusions because they are compatible with our biases.
The headline is misleading.
