It's not fake. A Tennessee State Trooper was shot on I-40 in Cookeville and the TBI issued a Blue Alert. The problem I had with it was difficult to open and initially was only identified as a "public safety alert" not the usual Amber Alert. That got my attention because I had never seen one of these before. Maybe I'm following current events too closely but in the 8 minutes it took to open the two alerts my adrenaline level was high enough I doubt I get back to sleep before time to get up.

Folks, save yourselves a lot of grief and TURN YOUR PHONE OFF about 1 hour before you go to bed. Ninety-nine percent of these alerts don't affect us individually in any way, and sleep is more important than being up to date on events that you have no control over.
Whatever issues these alerts are telling you about will still be there (or not) in the morning.
My alert was in Tenn. a Statewide alert. Suspects shot a State Trooper, alert has their car info.
Went off on my Iphone SE on one carrier, and my sites Android phone on another carrier at the same exact second. Weird...

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has issued a statewide Blue Alert for unknown subjects traveling in a white Kia Forte with temporary tag Q9SC4JR driven by two black males with face tattoos. The subjects in the vehicle are wanted for shooting a Tennessee Highway Patrol Trooper in Putnam County. The vehicle has a tail light out on the right passenger side. There is no known direction of travel at this time. If you have any information concerning the occupants or whereabouts of this white Kia Forte, please contact the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation at 1-800-TBI-FIND.
Why do you think it's fake?
Who green lights this message with sketchy links to email marketing firms going out over EAS after/during a massive IT outage that kind of looks like an intentional cyber attack.
What's that all about?
