People shouldn't mess with other people's cars. She could be putting in the wrong thing like diesel into a gas car or vice versa (just as bad). Road to hell being paved with good intentions.

Better just to go to the girl and say "here is some money, I want to help you out and I insist. Please take it and some day you can help someone else out"
