I heard an interview with one of his old classmates and he said Crooks was a "know it all", thought others were not as smart as he was, especially it sounded like about politics. Crooks did not like Trump, and thought this guy was stupid for voting for Trump. And at one-point Crooks and a few of his friends talked/threatened to shoot up their school.
