Actually, no graves had been discovered; their existence was extrapolated from "anomalies" in the earth found by ground-penetrating radar. Such anomalies are commonplace, however, and usually indicate a tree root, a large rock, or some other innocuous presence. Today, after three years and almost $8 million of publicly unaccountable funds being expended, no graves have been found. No one has bothered to even start the digging necessary to verify anything.
It's a shame this effort has been so badly botched. $8 million spent and they haven't even begun digging? I wonder what's the hold-up...
I wouldn't discount the rumors just yet, however without any confirmation I certainly won't be spreading them. Thx for posting this!
There was a tribal leader who brought in a crew to dig and they found rocks. Then he had the balls to say at a press conference something like just cuz we didn't prove it doesn't mean it didn't happen lol.
It was a video of a press statement about their search findings. The Indian leader basically said well we didn't find what we expected here but we know it happened. Tried to find the link without any luck. I obviously know they would have buried this clip out of sight.

Can you link me to something on that? Initial search yielded nada
