St. Michael the Archangel Defend us in the day of battle. Be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the Devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God, cast into Hell Satan and all of the evil spirits who prowl the earth seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen.
Better yet, direct that prayer to God.
I appreciate the spirit of the comment however there is not a single example in scripture of Jesus or the apostles offering prayer to angels, Saints, Mary or anyone besides God (The father, Jesus, & Holy Spirit) It's a tradition that originates from Catholicism that is not supported by scripture.
God can send angels but can angels respond to our prayers not directed to God? There's nothing in scripture to support they can.
If I was Satan and I wanted to stop the power of prayer, a primary strategy would be to have believers direct those prayers to where they went unheard.
The Bible says that ANGELS HARKEN TO THE WORD OF THE LORD. GOD'S WORD SPOKEN BY HIS PEOPLE, ACTIVATE THE ANGELS TO ACT ON OUR BEHALF.
His Word, not ours. Thanks for making my point.
Ummm no, that appears nowhere in scripture.
According to Psalm 91:11, God commands angels to guard and act on behalf of those who trust and believe He will send them help.
Key takeaways: God sends angels. We don't pray to angels.
Also lose the caps lock. It's annoying.
