Better yet, direct that prayer to God.
I appreciate the spirit of the comment however there is not a single example in scripture of Jesus or the apostles offering prayer to angels, Saints, Mary or anyone besides God (The father, Jesus, & Holy Spirit) It's a tradition that originates from Catholicism that is not supported by scripture.
God can send angels but can angels respond to our prayers not directed to God? There's nothing in scripture to support they can.
If I was Satan and I wanted to stop the power of prayer, a primary strategy would be to have believers direct those prayers to where they went unheard.
But one can pray to God for him to direct his angels, archangels, to protect. I do this often, "Holy Father, direct your archangel, etc etc, in Jesus's name", for example.
Yes. That's is praying to God and not angels.
Watch the movie "Disciples in the Moonlight" that just came out. Then realize how many different versions of the Bible there may have been over the past 2 millennia. Then take a look at how history has been "clarified" in our lives alone. There's a lot we're going to have to re-learn.
I happen to actually be super familiar with the science of textual transmission, translation from the original 3 languages and where we got the Bible from as well as textual variances.
One of my pastors, Dr James White, is one of the leading authorities in the world on the subject and has written a few books on it and done countless debates.
Different versions of the Bible? Oh no! Is Christ really crucified for us? Is He risen? glorified? returning? God is undone (outsmarted by man and his many versions of the Bible) unable able to get the truth to us the Holy Spirit and His discernment rendered helpless. hello
The Bible says that ANGELS HARKEN TO THE WORD OF THE LORD. GOD'S WORD SPOKEN BY HIS PEOPLE, ACTIVATE THE ANGELS TO ACT ON OUR BEHALF.
His Word, not ours. Thanks for making my point.
Ummm no, that appears nowhere in scripture.
According to Psalm 91:11, God commands angels to guard and act on behalf of those who trust and believe He will send them help.
Key takeaways: God sends angels. We don't pray to angels.
Also lose the caps lock. It's annoying.
