My question too. These cars dont have full gas tanks. Plastics can burn pretty hot and the foam in the seats but how does it spread into this? Skeptical that there isnt fuckery afoot.
Seat foam and plastics in vehicles have fire retardant added in manufacturing and must pass FMVSS requirements. M
Doesn’t mean they won’t burn. But shouldn’t burn uncontrolled.
Exactly...plus it's California. By law the fuel has to be drained before they're parked for salvage... same in other states. I've been to more junkyards than you can shake a stick at. I'd guess most have never been to one, let alone a U-pull it.
