One post, a “we’re not all bad” post. Damage control.
No apology over the open insult to one of the most sacred Christian moments, when Christ shared his final meal, knowing he would die at the hands of Jews as a sacrifice for humanity.
Jesus was not Jewish. He did not read or preach the Talmud. He threw the money lenders out of the temple.
It's sad to witness really.... Watching them create division among themselves... beating each other over the head with their bibles... this is the part I really love about religion... especially Christianity from the perspective of a retired Catholic.
There's no Christ consciousness in ANY of it...all ego - clinging fuckin HARD to "being right" - just chest thumping, pontificating and making each other wrong on little technicalities and shit. Just the way The Christ would have done it, right? The devil's in the details tho, right fellas? Quote more from the book... really go all in...
Me and the Holy Spirit are gonna sit back here and enjoy this little show you're putting on...You guys sure have a funny way of honoring Christ's highest commandment to love your neighbor as yourself... there's either a lot of self loathing going on, or you've been given indulgence to ignore it on the Sabbath of all days.
Jesus was absolutely Jewish. Do you not understand His whole purpose? "I have not come to abolish the law, but to fulfill it"? He partook in Jewish ceremonies, followed Jewish laws.
The Talmud is irrelevant to this conversation as it does not appear until 200 AD.
He threw money lenders out because that were taking advantage of worshippers... Of the Jewish law.
Jesus is not a modern Talmudic Jew, no. But he and his disciples were Jewish.

It's all quite peculiar...

Jewish is not a religious term in the bible. The original language referred to them as Judaeans or people from Judea.
What?
What does Pilate post as notice and title of Jesus when upon the cross?
It read: JESUS OF NAZARETH, THE KING OF THE..." What again?
