If you are truly saved the fruit of that would be living it but there are zero works that are necessary for salvation. It is by faith alone.
.i.e. The thief on the cross or a person making a deathbed confession has zero works attached.
Repentance and faith in Jesus Christ is all that scripture requires BUT it must be genuine faith.
Many will claim to be Christians with works aplenty but on the last day God will say "Depart from me, I never knew you"
Yes, believing he's lord & accepting what Christ did to save you is the only thing required for salvation. And to stop sinning keeps you from being harmed.
